Guidelines for abstract submission - Oral or poster presentation

All abstracts will be reviewed by the scientific committee. The accepted abstracts will be selected for either oral or poster presentations, and they will be published in the Congress Proceedings. The official language of the Congress is English.

Abstracts are restricted to a one A4 document (Arial, font size 12, margins according to model abstract) including possible tables and/or graphs. Click here to see the model abstract.

Send the abstract as a word document by e-mail (info@icss2019.fi) by November 16th, 2018. Please indicate whether you would prefer an oral or a poster presentation and in which of these four main areas your topic belongs: 1) Alpine skiing, 2) Nordic skiing, 3) Snowboarding, 4) General. Then choose one of the subareas listed below;

• Biomechanics
• Coaching
• Health and injuries
• Nutrition
• Paralympics
• Physiology
• Technology
• Training and testing
• Other

Confirmation of an abstract acceptance and if it is selected as an oral or as a poster presentation will be informed by e-mail by December 14^th, 2018. Registration of the presenter must be made by January 31^st, 2019, to guarantee publication of the abstract in the Congress Proceedings.

Young Investigator Award

The Congress program will also include a Young Investigator Award (YIA) competition.

Requirements

• When submitting the abstract the applicant must indicate that she/he wishes to participate in the competition
• Payment of the registration fee before 31^th of January, 2019
• Applicant must be under the age of 32 at the time of the Congress
• Applicant is presently enrolled as a student at a university or has been awarded her/his PhD degree within 2 years of the deadline for abstract submission
• There will be no extension of the deadline for applications for the YIA
• Only one paper can be submitted for participation in the YIA per first author
